Taking and recording vital signs, observing for changes in physical or mental condition, and supporting simple exercises or range-of-motion activities.
Medication & Treatment Support:
Providing medication reminders and assisting with non-invasive treatments under the guidance of a nurse.
Household Support:
Performing light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring the client’s environment is safe and organized.
Companionship & Engagement:
Offering conversation, emotional support, and engaging clients in recreational or cognitive activities.
Safety & Documentation:
Monitoring client safety, maintaining accurate records of care, and reporting any changes to supervising staff or medical personnel.
Beyond physical care, CNAs offer companionship and engage clients in hobbies, light exercise, and social activities to promote emotional well-being. They maintain a safe and clean environment, monitor health changes, and report concerns, helping clients live comfortably and with a higher quality of life.
